Early Life and Education

Alexie Mae Brooks was born in 2001 in Leon, Iloilo, Philippines. Her dad is an American and her mom a Filipina. She grew up with her Grandmother whose name is Lola Basing, in a close-knit family. Her grandmother was her inspiration and mentor.

She attended Leon Central School and Leon National High School, where she excelled in academics and sports. She was a consistent honor student and a varsity player in volleyball, basketball, and track and field.

Alexis moved to Manila to pursue her college education at the National University (NU), where she is a scholar-athlete majoring in business administration. She is also a member of the NU athletics team, specializing in the heptathlon, a track and field event that consists of seven disciplines:

100-meter hurdles, high jump, shot put, 200-meter dash, long jump, javelin throw, and

800-meter run. She has represented NU in various local and national competitions, winning medals and awards.

She is also a member of the Philippine national athletics team, having competed in the 2023 Southeast Asian (SEA) Games held in Vietnam. She finished fifth in the heptathlon event, with a personal best score of 4,589 points. She is currently training for the 2024 Asian Games in China, where she hopes to improve her performance and bring honor to the country.
