Durban –Â Â Tesla Model 3 buyers in South Africa have been waiting patiently, and now at least one lucky buyer is getting his hands on one.
It was once mentioned as a country that could reserve the Tesla Model 3 when it was first unveiled in 2016, but South Africa has yet to become an official market for the electric car brand. Although Musk had previously hinted at the possibility, he later admitted that South Africa’s high import levies for electric vehicles were an impediment.
A low-mileage Variant 3 dual-motor model recently advertised for sale on Cars.co.za, as revealed on Twitter by Ciro De Siena, will now allow one lucky South African to live the Tesla dream.
