Grease star Olivia Newton-John has sadly died aged 73, the BBC reports.

The British-Australian singer and actress played the role of Sandy alongside John Travolta in the 1978 movie and also starred in Xanadu, Two Of S Kind, A Few Best Men and many other films.

She also won four Grammy Awards, had five number one hits and released a staggering 26 studio albums throughout her incredible music career.

The star died from breast cancer, which she had been battling for more than 30 years. After originally being diagnosed in 1992, it returned in 2013 and then spread to her spine in 2017.

Olivia Newton-John was married to John Easterling

At the time of her death, Olivia was married to John Easterling. The couple wed in 2008 and were married for 14 years.

They secretly wed in Peru on June 21, 2008 and held another marriage ceremony in Florida on June 30. They still managed to keep their nuptials a secret until they hosted a barbecue on July 4 at Olivias house in Malibu.

John Easterling is 70 years old. He is an American businessman and environmentalist who is chief executive and chairman of Amazon Herb Company.

As per its Twitter bio, the company is committed to creating a prosperous future for the Amazon by making the health potential of the Rainforest available to everyone.

Easterling founded the company, which helps the world recognise the health benefits of Amazon rainforest botanicals, in 1990.

On Instagram, he describes himself as a plant medicine researcher and he and Olivia started dating around 2007 after falling in love on a trip to the Amazon, People reports.

Their first public event together was the opening ofXanaduon Broadway and they went on to attend the GDay USA Gala with John Travolta, do the Great Walk to Beijing and much more.

Her ex-husband is actor Matt Lattanzi

Before meeting John Easterling, Olivia was married to Matt Lattanzi for 11 years, from 1984 to 1995.

The 63-year-old is an is an American former actor and dancer who appeared in the movie My Tutor and soap opera Paradise Beach.

They met while filming the movie Xanadu, which they both starred in, and had one daughter, Chloe Lattanzi, who was born in 1986.

The couple announced their divorce on April 24, 1995 and the Mail Online reports their marriage broke down because he had an affair. However, little is known about their split.

Olivia then enjoyed a nine-year, on-off romance with cameraman Patrick McDermott before she met John Easterling.

Olivias husband John announced the stars passing in a touching Facebook statement.

DameOlivia Newton-John (73) passed away peacefully at her ranch in Southern California this morning, surrounded by family and friends, he wrote.

Olivia has been a symbol of triumphs and hope for over 30 years sharing her journey with breast cancer.

Her healing inspiration and pioneering experience with plant medicine continues with the Olivia Newton-John Foundation Fund, dedicated to researching plant medicine and cancer.

He asked for donations to be made in her memory to the Olivia Newton-John Foundation Fund and listed the family she is survived by, including a sister, brother, daughter and many nieces and nephews.
