INEC urges stakeholders to observe distribution of sensitive materials in Edo

Ahead of Saturday’s governorship political decision in Edo State, the Independent National Electoral Commission has announced that all delicate materials for survey has left the vault of Central Bank of Nigeria, in Benin City.

The commission which met Thursday to audit arrangements for the Edo State political race and other coming decisions including the Ondo State governorship political decision and October 31st By-political race in around 8 states said operators of the ideological groups were engaged with dissemination of materials.

INEC National Commissioner and Chairman, Information and Voter Education Committee, Barrister Festus Okoye, in an announcement additionally entreated the significant partners to proceed with perception of the appropriation of materials to the Registration Area Centers (RACs)

On Ondo the commission unveiled that in light of the COVID 19 pandemic , it couldn’t enroll the full supplement of National Youth Service Corp individuals required as specially appointed staff .

Okoye said the NYSC specialists anyway educated the Commission that “they are presently in a situation to assemble more corps individuals for the Ondo State Governorship Election”, including that the commission has made plans to open a unique connection in its enrollment entry for this Corp individuals.
